At the schools where I teach, the semester is coming to a close. Some teachers have the summer off, but the rest of us will be working. It’s a good time to cover things you didn’t have time to do during the year and explore new ideas and lessons. I like to do virtual travel lessons. I take the students to places like The Grand Canyon, Hawaii, or Washington, D.C. We learn about the places and people and usually close with a DVD tour at the end of the lesson. Hawaii is particularly fun because we eat fresh pineapple and have a coconut-opening contest!
